Poor eaters: You are talking about two children in the "terrible twos" during which this kind of behavior is pretty standard. It is not worth getting into a battle with them over what they eat because the parent always loses. You'll have to respect their bodies and their tastes. The important thing is not to have any kind of sweet or junk food substitute that the can go to instead. Offer something healthy.

Eating problems: Rule #1 in eating problems with toddlers is that the parent can't win. Don't let it become a battle. Probably the best approach is just to let them eat anything they want that is a healthy food. Eliminate all junk food. Once they get over the addictive taste of sweet, they will become interested in trying other flavors just out of boredom. It may take a while though.
