Exercise: Aerobic exercises such as walking, cycling. Etc. Are the best way to strengthen the heart. To be effective, target heart rate should be between 50-70% of the age appropriate max heart rate. Always consult your physician when starting a new exercise program. The cdc has great guidelines on the web at: www.Cdc.Gov/physicalactivity/everyone/guidelines/index.Html.
