Drugs are unlikely: To help a person whose personality is well described by the definition of a personality disorder - patient cbt efforts have been the most helpful in my experience. Pds are not illness, they are ways of being. When they are maladaptive, it can be very unpleasant, but need to be out-grown (even in adults). Non-judgmental guidance is what i employ. Borderlines are very difficult but can be worth it!

Not drugs: Drugs are not definitive treatment for borderline pd, but are sometimes prescribed to help with specific symptoms like depression, anxiety, and mini-psychotic episodes. These would be antidepressants and low-dose antipsychotics. The most important treatment for borderline pd is psychotherapy aimed at assisting development through stuck areas. Also dbt therapy to help manage emotional pain.
