Dr. Pamela Pappas answered

Specializes in Psychiatry

Borderline PD: Borderline pd is very, very insecure about self -- and is frantically trying to hold on to the other person. Very fearful of abandonment ; being alone. Also very impulsive, with frequent intense ; inappropriate anger when disappointed. Prone to both overvaluing and repudiating others quickly. Has repeated crises, and acts of self-injury like arm ; wrist-cutting. Feeling empty ; bored, often.
