Wash your hands.: Conjunctivitis has many causes and most will resolve without treatment. The most common type caused by adenovirus is highly contagious. Wash your hands frequently so others do not come into contact with your eye secretions. See and ophthalmologist immmediately if you have significant eye pain or loss of vision or if you fail to get better on your own.
