Blood tests : For gallbladder disease is at best an indirect indication. You need an imaging study such as ultrasound or ct scan, or a functional study such as hida scan. If your gallbladder is causing liver problems, your liver function tests will be abnormal. If it is causing pancreatitis, your amylase or lipase will be abnormal. If it is causing an infection, your WBC count will be high.
