How are c-difficile and irritable bowel syndrome different?

C difficile is a: Bacteria which causes diarrhea and sometimes severe life threatening inflammation of colon. Ibs is a functional bowel disorder which causes symptons of bloating, abdominal discomfort and alternating symptoms of constipation and diarrhea. C diff is tteated with antibiotics. On the other hand ibs is treated with other meds depending on the symptoms.
