Severe headache: If severe and not responding to simple at home or over the counter remedies, you should be seen to address the reason for the headache and request stronger treatments. Sometimes too many analgesics or overuse of medicines that help headaches can cause a headache to be prolonged or more severe. Either way, discuss options with a practitioner who knows headaches.
