At least by age 1: But sooner if the teeth do not appear right. When children have teeth, it is the parents responsibility to adequately clean their teeth at least twice daily, after every feeding to reduce the chance of decay. For young children, take a warm water moistened clean washcloth and wrap it around your index finger and thoroughly wipe their mouth / teeth.
