Can you please explain why all of my healthy food is high in sugar?

Does not need to be: Your definition of "healthy" may need re-examination. Healthy diet is generally rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils, low fat milk products; no tobacco; no more than one drink a day. None of these are high in sugar, with the possible exception of fruits.

It tastes better: If by healthy you mean, "low fat, " or, "no fat, " packaged foods...They have to make them taste good. To do that they take out the fat and add sugar. Best to go with unprocessed foods, as suggested above.
