It depends: The treatment is dependent upon the diagnosis. If there is an obvious deformity of your shoulder or upper arm, or the symptoms persist despite relative rest, over-the-counter analgesics and ice/heat application over several weeks, you should see a physiatrist or orthopedist for further evaluation.
