Speak with your OB : Doc u can do an elective induction anytime after 39 weeks gestation , so the earliest would be 7 days before your due date.

Somewhat: If you're 47 and pregnant, the latest i would want you to deliver would be 39 weeks. As you get closer your doctor will balance the risks to the fetus and to you of continuing the pregnancy, versus the risk of cesarean for failed induction. This assessment will depend on ultrasound and heart rate examinations, as well as cervix checks.
