A member asked:

Is it ok to take maternity leave right before giving birth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: If you need to be off then you need to start your maternity leave! it all depends on how much time you have off. Ideally it would be wonderful if all moms could take maternity leave starting a week before delivery and then p to 3-4 months afterwards. For many it is a financial issue..If you don't have to have the income then take the time off. Take care of yourself!
