Not really: There are no effective home-remedy teeth whitening solutions that really work. That is why there is such a big market for treatments like crest white strips and whitening in dental offices.

Bleaching teeth: Avoiding coffee, tea, cherries, blueberries, smoking and other similar foods that cause superficial stains. Using crest white strips can be effective. Whitening toothpastes are just more abrasive and don't really whiten teeth- they just help to scrub off the superficial stain.

Peroxide+Baking Soda: Professional whitening at a dentist is the safest and most predictable procedure to whiten teeth. Home remedies can lead to severe sensitivity and gum recession with root exposure. The otc whitening strips with carbamide peroxide can lighten teeth, but the results are not predictable and very from patient to patient. Toothpastes with baking soda and peroxide have some lightening effect, as well.

Teeth whitening: You can use over the counter tooth paste or crest 3D whitening strips or pens. However, they are not so effective and/or stable. OTC bleach and whitening tooth paste could be used as a supplement only. A professional teeth whitening without laser, followed by home whitening system with custom trays for the long term effect. You will be very happy with the results.
