Bad stuff: Everyone is different but if you do not wear your retainer please expect teeth to move. If you were to lose weight by adating to a new diet what would happen if you started eating pizza and fries?

Your teeth will move: Retainers are delivered to you after orthodontic treatment to minimize aging changes in your teeth as you age. Think of them as anti-wrinkle cream for your teeth. The longer you wear them the better. We tell our patients to wear them as long as they care.

You will fail: Your teeth will shift. You will throw away all the time, effort, and money to resolve your malocclusion. Your teeth will become unsightly, be more difficult to clean, and will wear unevenly. Malocclusion may cause joint problems. Not wearing retainers is just dumb.
