If the nail is not c: If the nail is not completely detached put a bandage or tape over the nail to keep it from ripping off. Eventually the nail plate will loosen and detach without trauma. If painful or bleeding or redness see your podiatrist for immediate care.

See below: Best to soak in warm soapy water, apply antiseptic and band aid. Try to let it come off by itself. There may be new nail underneath that is pushing off the old nail
