Shouldn't be: First of all, are you sure that the spondylo is causing your symptoms? Understand 5% of the asymptomatic "normal" population has this abnormality. Maybe it is simply muscular pain or a different problem. If not, consider pt mckenzie, nsaids/tylenol, pain management for injections. Failing this approach, surgery for fusion is quite successful if your pain is confirmed to be from the spondylo.

Agree w Dr Linville: Determine if this is the cause of your pain. If yes, then find out all your treatment options -so that you can work on improving this. Don't give in to pain & depression if improvment is possible. Take care.
