Nope: Quite a routine procedure, you probably won't feel a thing. Your dentist or endodontist will get you numb first, and after that, no pain at all.

No: Fear of having a root canal is a common concern. It is usually based on either stories others have told you or pain you are currently having. Learning about the procedure from you dentist will usually allay your fears. The pain you have before the treatment will be alleviated by the treatment in a gentile, pain free manor. Give yourself the opportunity to find out for yourself, call your dds.
