None that works.: Varicose veins are due to leaking valves in the saphenous vein system. There is a strong hereditary component. There are many potential home remedies such as horse chestnut, witch hazel and certain kinds of berries but none of these work. If you have varicose veins, then you should see a vein specialist for a f/u venous evaluation including a venous ultrasound.

No home remedy will: fix varicose veins. Exercise, support hose, and periodic leg elevation may help symptoms, but the underlying problem is still there. Some evidence exists that certain herbs and nutritional extracts (pycnogenol, horse chestnut, butcher's broom, etc.) may also help symptoms a little but, again, the varicose veins will still be there. See a vein specialist (abvlm.org) for definitive treatment.
