My toddler had a 2nd degree burn on his arm 6 months ago.the skin is pigmented& the dermatologist told us to protect it from the sun. does this help?

Yes: Scars darken much more quickly than dark skin, making them more prominent. Protect it from the sun, massage it and look for a good scar therapy (i.e. Silicone sheeting) to try and improve the appearance.

Yes. : Burned skin will lack normal pigmentation. It will easily sunburn. So, you should protect it.

Don't think so.: At this time feel things are back to normal. Apply sun screen though when out and about.
