Mixed Hearing Loss: A mixed hearing loss means that there is both conductive hearing loss (related to the ear drum or middle ear bones or space) and sensorineural hearing loss (nerve damage). The fluid in the ear causes the conductive loss, so if the fluid is gone, there might be some residual sensorineural hearing loss. You should probably get this checked out with a hearing test to make sure.
