Not known yet but...: Vitamin d deficiency can cause heart problems such as hypertension. 1 report showed 5 out of 958 people with vit d deficiency had tachycardia, but this doesn't mean that d deficiency is the cause. No one knows for sure. But low d affects calcium levels and calcium can affect heart rhythms. Correct the deficiency with d3 (5-10, 000 iu/day). Magnesium (ideally as taurate or glycinate) may help too.
