Simple problem: You have given me a wonderful description of what we call lipomas. These are noncancerous fatty growths that can occur almost anywhere on the body. They cannot be transmitted from person to person so the fact you both have them is not any consideration. If they cause you pain, discomfort or are unsightly, they are easy to remove. They can grow so you may want to have them removed at some point.
