What is the most common outcome of a broken in half, in the middle perfectly of the 5th metacarsal boone in my foot? short + long term prognosis-truth

Depends: Healing depends on the type of fracture and any surrounding soft tissue injury, what treatment was given, did it require surgery, how well the bone heals etc. Without information to the contrary, i don't know why is would not heal entirely. It may take a while, several months, to feel up to full activity.

Metacarpal is wrist: Metatarsal is foot. As long as it is not displaced and you immobilize it, your outcome should be good. Smoking is bad for fracture healing. It takes about 6-8 weeks for bone to heal. Sometimes, if doc thinks fracture is bad they may recommend a bone stimulator.
