Chlamydia: For a very long time. This is why doctors are encouraging regular visits, regular testing for those sexually active. But, it can live in the vagina, throat or rectum for a very long time without many symptoms.

A "Silent STD": I agree with dr. Killian. It is called a silent std because you can be unaware that you have it, due to lack of symptoms- all the while it is doing damage to your body.
