I was diagnosed with chlamydia 2 days ago by my gp and he gave me 6 azithromycin 250mg to drink 2 daily. the problem is today is my last day of drinking them and the symptoms still don't go away. does it take longer for the symptoms to disappear?

Give it time: I would not expect any change in symptoms in less than a week if not a little longer. The med you are taking is somewhat different than many others. It attaches to fat cells in your body and leaks out into your blood over a 2+ week period to do its work. This allows it to be given in a short time while working much longer.
