Not necessarily: It really depends on your recovery and how well it goes. Majority of the time, people do not require bracing after successful orif of ankle fracture after full recovery. Hope you are doing well after your surgery and hope everyone on this site helped you with answers.

If : You have complete healing you may not need it but you may have residual soft tissue damage that causes swelling etc. Always ask your treating doctor.
