New to running, 250 lb ive been having reoccurring 2-3 pain by the talus bone. no issues bearing weight. would a good ankle brace help or mask injury?

Modification: Would recommend an orthopaedic evaluation of your foot to make sure that bracing might be helpful. If evaluation is normal, would recommend starting to do some of your running in a swimming pool and then increase your distance within limits of comfort. Anti inflammatories ma be of some benefit.
