May be yeast : She may have a yeast infection which can be anywhere in the groin area and is very itchy. If not treated pain will usually develop. Frequent scratching can also lead to the development of a bacterial infection on top of the yeast. Nystatin, which is a rx cream, works well and can be prescribed by her provider. Once you have confirmed it is yeast you will not need to be seen if it happens again.
