Never good: It is never good to deprive your body of sleep it needs. Just like depriving it of water or food.Organ systems tend to want to shut down. Sleep allow our body the time to heal itself. Your back pain and migraines will only get worse without good restful sleep.Temporary short periods of sleep deprivation are not too harmful, but can lead to irritability, anxiety and hallucinations as you state.
