A member asked:

How long does it take for azithromycin to react in your body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not sure.: Not sure exactly what you mean. Azithromycin is an antibiotic. Blood levels rise and become effective against susceptible bacteria within about 30 minutes. However, in established infections there may not be improvement in symptoms noted for a few days. If the organism is not susceptible to Azithromycin there may be no improvement at all.
