OK but not too tight: An ace bandage can help with management of soft tissue swelling and provide a sense of support which is fine while sleeping.

Maybe: Make sure the ace wrap is not too tight. There is very little risk, other than a swollen foot, so wrap the ace around the midfoot as well as the ankle.
