It is likely a good idea to keep the air cast on during sleep to avoid discomfort of the sprained ankle that will disturb your sleep. Keeping the ankle in a stable neutral position and preventing it from moving during sleep will allow you to fall asleep as well as stay asleep since the pain of moving your ankle will be less. By keeping your boot on you have a better chance of the ligaments healing in I more correct position. Movement while sleeping will disrupt healing with movement.
