May be an infection: If there is redness or a rash, this could mean that there is a yeast infection of the skin. Babies sometimes develop thrush in the mouth which mom can sometimes also develop on the breast. It can cause a very itchy breast. It can be treated with prescription ointments and creams, so i would recommend seeing your doctor or health care provider if this continues.
