Probably not: There are different bacteria for skin and urinary tract infections. Typically Doxycycline will not treat bacteria for a uti.

Diclox =a penicillin: It may help with your symptoms and infection, depending on the bug that is causing the uti. If not better within a couple of days, then i'd say it's not working and you might need a different antibiotic.
