Prolonged symptoms: Sinusitis usually presents with nasal discharge, post nasal drip, sinus congestion and pressure that lasts longer than a week in duration. Decongestants, mucus thinners( Guaifenesin ), saline rinses( or neti pot) can help reduce symptoms. Many times, a true sinus infection will eventually need antibiotics.
