Wheelchair bound: If you are permanently wheel chair bound, you will have to make some changes in your diet to adjust to less exercise. By trial and error, you can figure out how many calories you can eat a day to not gain weight if you use a food diary. There are some exercises that can still burn calroies while seated. Talk to a physical therapist for suggestions.

Pott's Disease: I agree with dr. Rinker. Pott's disease is a tough one. An exercise program could be developed specifically for you. Consultation with a physiatrist (not psychiatrist) or a rehabilitation physician may be very helpful. Obviously nutrition will play a big part in your weight loss program. Consider auricular (ear) acupuncture for appetite suppression in addition to a nutrition consult. Take care.
