Diet: The safest and healthiest way to lose fat is to take in fewer calories than you burn up day to day. Dieting is hard and you need the help of your family doctor and a nutritionist. Liposuction is used to remove fat from areas that are slow to change when you diet or if you have special sites of accumulation that both you. All liposuctions have the same level of safety.

Non-invasive: The most fundamental "treatment" is lifestyle- a good diet & exercise. Non-invasive treatment for fat removal, such as coolsculpting & liposonix are fda-approved, & have an excellent safety profile. They are best if you are near your ideal weight, with localized areas of unwanted fat. Liposuction is more invasive, and safest when done under tumescent anesthesia by an experienced physician.

Fat reduction: The safest procedure for fat removal is a healthy lifestyle with diet and exercise. When diet and exercise are not enough; then liposuction is helpful for problem fat areas. Tumescent liposuction has been proven to be the safest form of liposuction. Tumescent liposuction can be completed in an office setting using dilute anesthetic solutions without the need for general anesthesia.

Losing weight : No procedure is 100% safe. There is always potential risk of side effects or complications. However, if you are a good candidate for a procedure, you will discuss safety with your surgeon and chose from your options based on what your doctor's evaluation.
