Adult tonsillectomy: Generally. Always have risk of excessive bleeding, anesthesia mishaps, post-op and delayed bleeding (7-10 days after). Risk should be minimal in properly selected patients. Performed for recurring infecting, peritonsillar abscesses, sleep apnea, cancer diagnosis.
