Abnormal periods: Sounds more like a hormonal glitch this time. If not straightened out with next cycle you should be checked. Consider pregnancy if possible too.

Ovulation delay: First, whenever your period is delayed it is worth thinking about pregnancy. Most likely the fact that your periods are delayed indicates that you are likely taking longer in the month to release an egg (ovulating) than in the past. This can happen sometimes for no obvious reason but if you do so for three successive periods then this and your pain deserves to be checked out by your gyn.
