Yes: Hydrocepalus is a well recognised cause of urinary in continence. Low pressure hydrocephalus is commonly noted in the elderly. A shunt procedure doesnot reverse this trend though stops hydrocephalus from causing further brain damage. The drugs(anticholinergics are of limited use. The neocontrol system called interstim also has variable response. Injection of Botox in th bladder holds promise.
