Bad advice: Never listen to anyone who tells you to intentionally traumatize your skin! now keep it clean, use topical calamine lotion to dry it up, use topical cortisone cream to help with itch, and if really itchy and those not helping, take oral Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to try and settle the reaction. Very rare instances need oral steroids.

ER: I would take your daughter to an er or urgent care so they can give her a physical exam along with possible steroids.
