Contact dermatitis: Contact dermatitis to plant oils can cause severe itch, rash, swelling, and blistering in sentive "alllergic" individuals. This should be evaluated by seeing a physician who might consider topical (cream/lotion) corticosteroids or a short course of steroid pills, which give the most reliable, effective relief. Skin infection is the greatest risk when the skin has oozing or open sores.
