No definite answer: Please make sure there is good medical necessity before imaging using ionizing radiation. Ct carries the highest dose. However, the risk of a current medical problem may easily outweigh the potential risk of a future cancer. Almost all data comes from nuclear incidents with much higher radiation in 1 large dose. It is difficult to compare that risk to low levels used in ct over months/yrs.
