Talk with doc: He needs to understand why we treat sleep apnea, which is essentially to reduce the risk of heart attacks and stroke. His doctor needs to work with him to find solutions to make it more comfortable to use. Finally, he can always consider surgical options.

Sleep Apnea: I would advise you to make him an appointment with a ENT surgeon who specializes in sleep apnea patients. Perhaps getting some more education about the options and the dangers he faces will help.
