Not sure.: Pus and bleeding are not good signs. See your doctor immediately. Check your tetanus status.

Not always bad: Pus is merely white blood cells attacking/ removing foreign things from a wound. This can include bacteria but can also be dirt, dead tissue, or a foreign body like splinter. This is a natural process and not necessarily bad. Bleeding may be due to new blood vessels growing in as part of healing that simply got bumped and bled a little. Again, not bad. If wound is getting better, all is well.
