My cardiologist told me that dilated cardiomyopathy can not be treated by cabg or any other surgery, only medications can be given , is it true ?

Yes: Dilated cardiomyopathy is usually caused by high blood pressure and is not treatable by surgery. If it is severe and does not respond to treatment, you can ask him about a transplant.

He/she correct: 1. Acei or arb 2. Beta 3. Diuretic 4. Spirono 25 5. Maybe digoxin these are the best medications for dcm. Surgery is usually not effective unless you go for an experimental study, which is unlikely to help. Stem cells may become useful in the future.
