Diet, exercise: Diet: decrease or no red meats; lots and lots of greens, steamed; stay away from breads and flour products, gluten; brown rice, amaranth, quinoa, millet are good grains; all kinds of beans; seaweed in rice; exercise a bit every day: tai chi, yoga, swim, walk, zumba, tennis, whatever; meditate every day 20 minutes minimum; think positive; anger management; read eckhart toll, new earth.

No: I don't think you can call any source definitive. There are certain things which are common in the care of CABG pts. But every surgeon has differing ideas and practices. Some don't let their patients drive for 6 weeks while other will let them drive in 2 weeks. Some have 5 lb lifting restrictions while others have a 10 lb. With regards to diet and exercise there are many variations, too.
