Cbc showed wbc of 12.7. what does that mean?

Maybe nothing!: The white blood count reflects the different white blood cells that the body makes. The normal range is between 4 and 10 in most labs. If you're above this, then you might have had an infection or other inflammatory process at the time, or you might just be slightly above the range of normal. Your doctor might want to repeat this in a few weeks or months to see if it is different.

Slight increase: This shows a slight increase in the total number of white blood cells (wbc). It could be due to a variety of reasons- mild infections, meds, for example- get it reviewed with your ordering physician.

Depends: Review this with your physician, including the differential count. Counts fluctuate wildly in health; a cold shower can produce a much higher total WBC than yours -- i tried it on myself. If any of the cells in the differential are abnormal, this can be a problem to look into. Otherwise, if you feel well, forget it.

Depends: Wbc of 12.7 is only mildly elevated. If you have no symptoms, the count is not a reason to worry about. High WBC counts are seen in infections and leukemias.
