May or may not be: It depends upon the difficulty of the extractions, your pain threshold, what if anything you are taking for pain control, and largely whether the pain has gotten worse, better or the same since day one. It is best that you call the dentist who removed your teeth, discuss your discomfort and request advice as to what to do, if anything and whether or not you should be seen in the office.

Be patient: The removal of wisdom teeth is a serious surgical procedure. Pain and discomfort following surgery often peaks around post operative days 3 -5. After this, the pain should subside more and more every day. Post operative pain in some cases, may last up to 7 - 14 days before completely subsiding. Follow the instructions given by your surgeon.
